This was good authentic Mexican food. The portions are a good size. It was walking distance from our Airbnb.
I love this place. Food is fantastic and made to order quickly. Owner is super friendly. Chips and salsa give with every meal and they're tasty. Posting an updated menu because it's needed. Super Fajita Burrito is my favorite. Chili Relleno burrito is a winner too. One of the best restaurants in Scotts Valley - although that isn't saying much.
Small place in a strip mall but really great Mexican food. Had a bean and cheese burrito - very good! Carnitas taco was excellent - perfect blend of butteriness with some crispy edges. Salsas were good too, definitely try the green one! Service was friendly as well.
This Taqueria deserves 10 stars. Literally so good! The taste is truly authentic! I was skeptical because I'm new to SV and was not sure about how the flavor would be. They did not disappoint!! I had a chili verde taco which was bursting with flavor and a chile relleño that was delicious. Chef kiss!! I will definitely be coming back here for lunch! Give them a try you will thank me later.
After ten years, the family started hanging out in SV more and now we eat there (and the outpost in Boulder Creek) pretty frequently. And it's so good!!! My go-to is always the Chicken Enchiladas, which they do really well, but lately I've been getting the tostada (WHICH IS HUGE!!!) and picking pieces of carnitas off my kids' plates. I also have to say, if I hadn't given up pork, the al Pastor would be my regular order. Just about the best I've found in these parts!
The menu says the burritos come with salsa. that is incorrect. It comes with pico de gallo. Pico de gallo, as you might know, is not salsa. it's pico de gallo. Therefore, do not order extra salsa unless you want extra f-in pico de gallo. everything else was bomb.
Los Gallos is a def must after biking in the Santa Cruz mountains. Although the tacos are at a higher price point, the meat portions make up for them. The best choices were the fish tacos which were perfectly grilled and paired with cilantro and fresh salsa. Tacos weren't greasy like other taquerias so I didn't feel bad eating them. Oh, gotta love the self-served chips and salsa! Def give this spot a try when in town!
